This ever-popular festive reading, by the actor Colin Greenslade, performed in the Banqueting Hall in Knebworth House. Start with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie, and during the interval enjoy Christmas carols performed from the minstrels’ gallery by local choirs. Booking is essential. Evening performances – 16, 17, 18 December, plus a matinee – 17 December. Knebworth welcomes a new Christmas Fair with a wide range of Christmas Crafts and Gifts as well as a wonderful selection of food and drinks for the festive season. In addition there will be Santa’s Grotto complete with reindeer and owls. The Garden Terrace Tea Room will be open. (Tickets available to purchase on the day. Adults – £5.00, Senior Citizens – £4.00, Children – £3.00 includes a visit to Santa. House, gardens and park closed.)

For the third year running Knebworth’s Pumpkin Trail and Treats has sold out! The staff at Knebworth are dusting off their costumes, hanging the spooky decorations, carving pumpkins and preparing the activities for the hundreds of excited children that will descend on Knebworth Gardens next week.

We look forward to seeing everyone who has pre-booked tickets! For those who missed out this year the event will be back in 2012!

Connaught Opera at Knebworth House

Once a year Quantum care organises an operatic performance at Knebworth House for their residents.

This year’s event was held on Thursday 8th September and featured the wonderful Connaught Opera who performed Chariots of Fire, a Spectacular in song. The members of the Connaught opera are Maria Arakie, Glen Wilson and Pianist Carol Wells.

Groups of residents and staff from all of Quantum Care’s homes were invitied to the event which was extremely well received.

Pumpkin Trail & Treats at Knebworth House Gardens Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th October 2011

Take part in pumpkin activities and the treat pumpkin trail through the gardens (goody bag prize on completion), and meet the bats. For the more daring, join a twilight walk, expected at 4.00pm. 12.00 noon – 4.30pm. .
