Martin Lomas Celebrates 20 years at Sodexo

A celebration lunch was hosted at Knebworth House today to celebrate Martin Lomas, our Operations Manager, 20 years working for Sodexo who are the on site catering providers at Knebworth House. Martin started at Sodexo in July 1987 as a casual employee, based at Mansfield’s Civic Centre before being persuaded to join the team at Knebworth House in August 2006. Anyone who has had an event at Knebworth House will know Martin for his attention to detail, excellent service and professionalism. We are extremely lucky to have Martin as part of our team.

Midsomer Murders at Knebworth House

This week sees Knebworth House as the location for Midsomer Murders. This episode, The Dark Rider, features a headless horseman leading victims to their doom. Knebworth House plays the family home of the DeQuetteville family who stage a money making Civil War battle re-enactment. But what are the DeQuettevilles hiding and what is the true identity of the ghostly rider?

Don’t miss the first episode of this new series being shown on Wednesday 1st February 2012 at 8.00pm on ITV1.

New event facilities within the Knebworth conference and banqueting centre

Knebworth are pleased to announce the addition of the Cobbold and Lytton Barns to compliment the Knebworth Barns conference and banqueting centre.

The stunning new purpose built oak frame barns have been built to mirror the current barns which now creates a beautiful courtyard area.

The Cobbold Barn is the perfect venue for your next event for up to 200 people with a private entrance, car parking, private patio and garden area and bar facility and will be available for a wide variety of events including exclusive Christmas parties, wedding receptions, parties, conferences and exhibitions.

The Lytton Barn is suitable for smaller meetings with a boardroom facility for up to 20 people with in built AV facilities, a private entrance, car parking and an outside patio area. Fully inclusive day delegate rates are available from £35.00 per person.

The new barns will be available for hire from the end of September 2011.

We would like to invite you and your colleagues to look round the new facilities on the 28^th September between 6.00pm and 8.30pm.

The launch will include a tour of the barns conference and banqueting centre, canapés and cocktails and the chance to take part in some exciting activities.
