Archant are hosting a Wedding Fair at Knebworth House on 19th February 2012, 11.00am to 4.00pm. Free entrance and parking.

The Knebworth Sales Team will be on hand to show you around the venues of Knebworth House and answer your questions. Please come and visit us just off Junction 7 of the A1(M). If you are using SAT NAV, please enter postcode SG1 3NT to be directed to our main entrance.

This ever-popular festive reading, by the actor Colin Greenslade, performed in the Banqueting Hall in Knebworth House. Start with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie, and during the interval enjoy Christmas carols performed from the minstrels’ gallery by local choirs. Booking is essential. Evening performances – 16, 17, 18 December, plus a matinee – 17 December. Knebworth welcomes a new Christmas Fair with a wide range of Christmas Crafts and Gifts as well as a wonderful selection of food and drinks for the festive season. In addition there will be Santa’s Grotto complete with reindeer and owls. The Garden Terrace Tea Room will be open. (Tickets available to purchase on the day. Adults – £5.00, Senior Citizens – £4.00, Children – £3.00 includes a visit to Santa. House, gardens and park closed.)

We are pleased to be working with Archant and hosting the Hertfordshire Green Awards and Exhibition, 25th October 2011. Come and see Hertfordshire’s green credentials at our FREE to attend green exhibition open to everyone between 2pm – 6pm. We have exhibitors ranging from solar panels, hibrid cars, waste solutions to insurance companies, recycling and organic golf courses.

Take part in pumpkin activities and the treat pumpkin trail through the gardens (goody bag prize on completion), and meet the bats. For the more daring, join a twilight walk, expected at 4.00pm. 12.00 noon – 4.30pm. . A Roald Dahl classic performed by Illyria theatre company on the Sunken Lawn in front of the House. All Mr Fox wants from life is to feed his family, and fortunately farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean (one short, one fat, one lean) have an ample supply of chickens, geese and ducks. But Boggis, Bunce and Bean are not just any farmers – they are the cruelest, meanest and most ruthless farmers you could ever meet, and they are determined to put a stop to Mr Fox once and for all. As they rev up their mechanical diggers and load their guns, Mr Fox’s chances are slim at best… Or will the sharpest wit win?

Holiday activities at Knebworth Park

This summer at Knebworth, we are running a programme of free holiday activities for families. Story-telling sessions in the Gardens are already proving popular and continues the Lytton tradition of writers and stories at Knebworth House. Highlights so far include Roald Dahl’s stories – a popular choice whose theme will continue with our summer theatre on 17^th August. Roald Dahl storytimes continue during August with a special session for the under 5s. Later in the holiday, we’ll also be getting crafty with some art activities, including making butterfly feeders and sundials from natural materials. We look forward to enjoying the summer weather with you!
