Knebworth House is playing host to a British Heart Foundation (BHF) at the end of February by opening up its idyllic grounds for a 5km and 10km sponsored jog. Whether you are a regular runner, a first timer or just want a family day out with the kids come along and support the charity by walking, jogging or running the stunning 5km cross country course once or twice.

Now in its fifth successful year, the Knebworth House Jog attracted 900 registrations last year. Check out last year’s event on You Tube.

The BHF is the nation’s heart charity, dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care, campaigning for change and by providing vital equipment and information. All sponsorship money goes towards helping the BHF save lives and if you raise over £50 you get entered into a free prize draw to win a Nintendo Wii!

British Heart Foundation’s Knebwoth House Jog Timetable:
9.30am: Registration and entertainment
10:45am: Group warm-up
11.00am: Start jogging!

To sign-up for this year’s event click here. Entry is £10 for adults (£15 on the day) and £5 for children – this includes a free t-shirt. For more information call 0808 100 2109 or email eastevents@bhf.org.uk. The course is multi-terrain over muddy stretches, grass, tarmac and track. We regret this route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

(Knebworth Park is made available free of charge to the British Heart Foundation for this event by kind permission of the Lytton Cobbold family.)
