For the third year running Knebworth’s Pumpkin Trail and Treats has sold out! The staff at Knebworth are dusting off their costumes, hanging the spooky decorations, carving pumpkins and preparing the activities for the hundreds of excited children that will descend on Knebworth Gardens next week.

We look forward to seeing everyone who has pre-booked tickets! For those who missed out this year the event will be back in 2012!

Your chance to travel back in time experiencing an historic family fun day. Activities in the house will include calligraphy, dress in Tudor costume and hear and play Tudor musical instruments. Outdoor activities will include children’s jousting, discover what it is like to drill with a Tudor army with wooden pole-arms and Tudor games. Pumpkin Trail and Treats at Knebworth House Gardens – 27th – 29th October 2010

Take part in pumpkin activities and the trick or treat pumpkin trail (goody bag prize on completion), and meet the bats. For the more daring, join a twilight walk, expected at 4.00pm. 12.00 noon – 4.30pm. (Numbers are strictly limited. To avoid disappointment please book admission tickets in advance: 01438 810931.

The Garden Terrace Tea Room will be open, light lunches, hot and cold snacks will be available to purchase on the day.

A celebration of all that is good to eat and drink from across the eastern region and far beyond. As well as a huge range of food and drink (and related goodies) there will also be unique arts, craft and gift products to enjoy. A full programme of food and cookery demonstrations as well as wine and beer tasting sessions will all add to a really good weekend for everyone from the amateur enthusiast through to the most sophisticated gastronome

Spring is truly on it’s way, and with the daffodils opening, the gate’s of Knebworth will soon follow suit, as the park once more re-opens to the public this Saturday.

Come and join us this weekend and enjoy the delights of our new 70 seater patio area overlooking our formal gardens with wonderful views of Knebworth House in all it’s summer splendour.

Gates open from 11.00am with the miniture railway and house opening their doors from 12.00 onwards. If you fancy making a day of it why not stop off in the Garden Terrace Restaurant and try our homemade cakes, sandwiches and other tasty snacks.

British Heart Foundation’s Knebworth House Jog – Sunday 21st February 2010

Knebworth House is playing host to a British Heart Foundation (BHF) at the end of February by opening up its idyllic grounds for a 5km and 10km sponsored jog. Whether you are a regular runner, a first timer or just want a family day out with the kids come along and support the charity by walking, jogging or running the stunning 5km cross country course once or twice.

Now in its fifth successful year, the Knebworth House Jog attracted 900 registrations last year. Check out last year’s event on You Tube.

The BHF is the nation’s heart charity, dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care, campaigning for change and by providing vital equipment and information. All sponsorship money goes towards helping the BHF save lives and if you raise over £50 you get entered into a free prize draw to win a Nintendo Wii!

British Heart Foundation’s Knebwoth House Jog Timetable:
9.30am: Registration and entertainment
10:45am: Group warm-up
11.00am: Start jogging!

To sign-up for this year’s event click here. Entry is £10 for adults (£15 on the day) and £5 for children – this includes a free t-shirt. We regret this route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
